Over 85 tour operators/travel agents in Western Australia participated in Wonderful Indonesia Breakfast Meetings featuring over 14 Hotels and attractions in Bali. The event held in Melbourne Hotel Perth, organised by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Bali Hotel Association (8/2/2019).

Special deals of packages and accommodation with stunning views equipped with world class standard were presented by Bali Safari Marine Park, Melia Bali, The Breezes Bali Resot & Spa, Bali Dynasty Resort, Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa, Ayodya Resort Bali, Finns Bali, Champlung Mas Legian, Prama Sanur Beach, Double Six Luxury Hotel Seminyak, Bali Garden Beach Resort, Tjendana Villas, Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali, Bali Mandira Beach Resort, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Bali, Champlung Sari Ubud are among the hotels in Bali.

In her welcoming remarks, Consul General Dewi Tobing thanked all the travel agents for the support on bringing WA tourists to Indonesia. In 2018, the Australian tourists increased about 7.7% to 1,301,000 persons compared to previous year. Ibu Dewi also updated about
the Rough Guides’ poll that mentioned Indonesia as one of the most beautiful country in the world by the International travellers and become the 1st most beautiful county in Asia (https://www.roughguides.com/destinations/asia/indonesia/).

Mrs. Titik Lestari, Deputy Director of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, also praised the relations between the two countries resulting that Indonesia become the 2nd most-favourite destination for Australians in 2018.

Although Bali is still the most iconic tourist spot, the Government of Indonesia also promoting the “10 New Destinations” namely Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Tanjung Kelayang in Bangka Belitung Islands, Tanjung Lesung in Banten, Thousand Islands in Jakarta, Borobudur in Central Java, Bromo Tengger Semeru in East Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara, Waktaboki in Southeast Sulawesi and Morotai in North Maluku (https://www.indonesia.travel/gb/en/home). “There is beauty in every aspect of Indonesia”, emphasized by Ibu Dewi Tobing on her closing.
